Job Overview
The Legal Trainer will take a leading role in developing, implementing, and managing training programs for staff at all levels, up to the Fee Earner role. This position will focus on equipping employees with the skills and knowledge required to thrive in their roles while contributing to the firm’s ongoing success. The role involves a mix of training delivery, coaching, content creation, and collaboration with senior management and HR.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a continuous training program for existing staff, aligned with business needs and recent legal updates.
- Deliver regular training sessions on the in-house Case Management System.
- Assist with induction training to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new hires.
- Collaborate with Senior Management, supervisors, and HR to assess training needs and create targeted programs.
- Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions to enhance specific skills and address development areas.
- Attend departmental meetings to understand business requirements and align training programs accordingly.
- Design and update training materials for effective learning delivery.
- Create and manage training content for the Learning Management System (LMS) and blended learning initiatives.
- Maintain accurate attendance records for all training sessions.
- Report on training progress and recommend additional interventions to support staff development.
- Draft legal updates and articles to support marketing efforts.
- Monitor and respond to significant legal changes, suggesting adjustments to internal policies and procedures as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a legal environment, with a strong understanding of legal processes and systems.
- Proficient in IT and confident with technical systems, including Case Management Systems and LMS platforms.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage time effectively.
- Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Skilled in designing and tailoring training programs to meet the needs of diverse audiences.
- A proactive learner, able to quickly grasp new systems and processes.
- A motivational leader with the ability to inspire and encourage others to excel.
