Job Overview:
The Post Completion Assistant will play a critical role in supporting the Post Completion Department by ensuring all processes are completed accurately and efficiently. This position is ideal for someone seeking a long-term career within the Post Completion team and does not align with progression into a Legal Assistant or Fee Earner role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to Conveyancing Solicitors.
- Prepare and manage correspondence using the case management system.
- Communicate with clients via telephone and in-person professionally and effectively.
- Administer filing systems, including daily filing, and the opening, closing, storage, and retrieval of client files.
- Prepare mail and enclosures for dispatch.
- Arrange scanning and photocopying of legal documents.
- Ensure the timely completion of post-completion processes, including:
- Submitting stamp duty payments to HMRC.
- Serving notices to landlords.
- Registering new property owners with the Land Registry.
- Managing requisitions and ledger reviews.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge and experience in residential conveyancing.
- Ability to work with initiative, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- High levels of speed and accuracy in performing tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, with a professional telephone manner and confidence in client interactions.
- Highly organized, methodical, and adaptable to shifting priorities.
