Job Overview:
The Sales Engineer will work alongside the Account Manager to build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers. This role is ideal for someone with a technical background in CNC machining who can offer expert consultation, understand customer needs, and ensure the company’s manufacturing capabilities align with their requirements. The Sales Engineer will play a vital role in driving business growth by engaging with customers directly and fostering long-term relationships.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to understand their needs and propose technical solutions.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource, translating customer requirements into practical and feasible solutions.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to design and implement tailored solutions.
  • Provide detailed and accurate job estimates, including materials, timelines, and production resources.
  • Support the Account Manager in strengthening customer relationships and aligning technical solutions with business goals.
  • Assist in improving quoting, estimating, and production processes for enhanced efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date on CNC machining trends, innovations, and best practices to offer cutting-edge solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in technical sales, engineering, or manufacturing, ideally in a CNC machining environment.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and the ability to effectively communicate these processes to customers.
  • Experience with quoting and estimating in a machining or manufacturing context.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software; familiarity with JobBOSS2 and/or QuickBooks Online is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Knowledge of ITAR, AS9100, or similar regulatory frameworks is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems for managing sales processes is a plus.
