ARCH Cutting Tools is seeking experienced machinists to join our team in Flushing. Must have experience in Haas, Fanuc CNC controls. Competitive wages and full benefit package. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Ability to interpret blueprints to ensure parts are machined to specifications.
  • Ability to set up fixturing, cutting tools, and other support equipment for machining of parts.
  • General understanding of applying cutting tools for machining as well as calculating feeds, speeds, and depths of cut.
  • Ability to read and interpret CNC G- code and programming languages.
  • Ability to understand and modify CNC work offsets, tool radius offsets, and other parameters for CNC toolpath.
  • Ability to use calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other quality control devices, as well as use the measurements gathered to properly adjust program and tool parameters to achieve quality standards.
  • Maintain machine preventive maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Keep surrounding work area clean and organized.

Competencies:

  • Experience with Haas, Fanuc, or CNC controls required.
  • Ability to read blueprints and carry our job instructions from Mastercam or CAD software.
  • Ability to perform simple to complicated mathematical processes.
  • Ability to monitor quality of parts produced and work internal quality control.
  • Safety - Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.

    Education and/or Experience:
    • Advanced education in the field of CNC Machining; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Physical Demands:
    While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
