Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Ability to interpret blueprints to ensure parts are machined to specifications.
- Ability to set up fixturing, cutting tools, and other support equipment for machining of parts.
- General understanding of applying cutting tools for machining as well as calculating feeds, speeds, and depths of cut.
- Ability to read and interpret CNC G- code and programming languages.
- Ability to understand and modify CNC work offsets, tool radius offsets, and other parameters for CNC toolpath.
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other quality control devices, as well as use the measurements gathered to properly adjust program and tool parameters to achieve quality standards.
- Maintain machine preventive maintenance and cleanliness.
- Keep surrounding work area clean and organized.
Competencies:
- Experience with Haas, Fanuc, or CNC controls required.
- Ability to read blueprints and carry our job instructions from Mastercam or CAD software.
- Ability to perform simple to complicated mathematical processes.
- Ability to monitor quality of parts produced and work internal quality control.
- Safety - Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
