Job Overview:
Are you a skilled machinist with a passion for precision and innovation At Ingersoll Rand, we are seeking a talented and dedicated CNC Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. This is more than just a job; it's an opportunity to be part of a company that values creativity, excellence, and collaboration.

Responsibilities


• Follow Standard Work for machine setup, running parts, and preventative maintenance.
• Inspect, deburr, and perform manual operations or operate additional equipment.
• Update and maintain visual controls.
• Support countermeasures and engage in SMED, Kaizen events, and '5 Whys' problem-solving.
• Operate and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Identify and report equipment abnormalities.
• Adhere to company safety procedures and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements


• 2+ (two) or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• 2+ (two) or more years of experience as a CNC Machine Operator/Machinist
• 2+ (two) or more years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints.

Core Competencies:
• Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines.
• Ability to convert between metric and US standard units of measure.
• Ability to use standard problem-solving methods (ie. 5 Whys) as trained
• Ability to effectively use tools such as the following: depth gages, bore gages, height gages, feeler gages, micrometers, calipers, deburring tools, die grinders, drill presses, overhead lifting equipment, etc.
• Ability to effectively share information about job duties in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisor, customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Preferences:
• HS Diploma or GED preferred
• Experience with CNC Machines (Okuma, Moriseiki, Mazak, Haas, Makino, or Fanuc), Mills, and Lathes
• Proven ability to set up and operate CNC machining work centers, specializing in tool changes and in-process offset adjustments.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
• This position will be based 100% onsite at our Southern Pines, North Carolina facility.
