The 2nd Shift Custodian Floater supports this mission by performing custodial, maintenance, and grounds duties across multiple district buildings as assigned, ensuring safe, clean, and well-maintained environments.
Your Role Will Include:
Assume full daily responsibilities of assigned custodial roles across various buildings, adapting to site-specific needs.
Perform custodial duties including cleaning classrooms, restrooms, and common areas; floor care (including stripping, sealing, and vacuuming); washing windows, walls, and lockers; and general cleaning in accordance with district standards.
Maintain and repair building systems and equipment, including minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing work, as well as monitoring building automation systems and boiler operation; report equipment malfunctions to the appropriate coordinator promptly.
Ensure facility safety and security by securing buildings, arming and disarming security systems, monitoring for and reporting vandalism or unauthorized individuals, and maintaining safe conditions through snow removal and grounds upkeep.
Support building operations by painting district facilities as needed; assisting with event setup/teardown; supporting kitchen needs; maintaining logs; communicating directives; and providing customer service to staff, students, and community members.
