2nd shift: 3 PM - 11 PM

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties necessary to the efficient operation of all equipment in the plant
  • Operate and maintain plant equipment in accordance with standard work and building procedures
  • Monitor and follow all safety preventative measures and practices, including 5S+ safety guidelines
  • Must be capable of following and meeting standard work requirements
  • Continue to keep current in skills through training, classes and on the job training
  • Must be capable of operating several machines after set-ups have been completed
  • Perform all quality checks to include SPC, visual and total dimensional conformance
  • Be accountable for process evaluation, measurement, documentation, and improvement on a continuous basis
  • Be able to verify weight of brass, which may involve the use of a scale
  • Must work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment
  • Must notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities, which present unreasonable health and / or environmental risk, and report all safety and / or environmental incidents to management immediately
  • Ability to demonstrate "professionalism" with all associates, suppliers, and customers
  • Effective communication with shop personnel from all aspects of the business. Ability to read, write, and converse in English
  • Promotes a positive working environment
  • Punctual and maintains an acceptable attendance record.

QUALIFICATIONS

β€’ Bending, reaching, lifting up to 50-pound boxes and totes, twisting, scooping, grasping, squatting, pushing/pulling, prolonged sitting/standing/walking, and fine hand-eye coordination.

β€’ Exert 25 to 80 pounds of force occasionally, and/or exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently to move objects

β€’ Performs other duties as assigned by the Lead, Value Stream Team Leader, Value Stream Manager, Plant Manager, or any other individuals of authority within the facility.

EDUCATION

β€’ High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

2+ years of previous machine set-up & operate experience

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Sound decision making skills
  • Good math, reading and writing skills
  • Basic computer skills
