Job Overview:
The Deputy Manager supports the overall management and day-to-day operations, including administrative tasks and direct provision of support. Collaborating with the Manager and overseeing teams, they ensure quality support aligned with key values. With a focus on individuals with complex needs, the Deputy Manager ensures staff understanding and responsiveness, maintains staffing levels, and ensures compliance through regular auditing.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Manager in the day-to-day management of designated services.
  • Uphold independence and ensure the safety of individuals under their care.
  • Conduct induction and training sessions for new staff members.
  • Supervise staff performance and address any concerns promptly.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and regulations.
  • Maintain thorough records and report incidents accurately.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with clients, families, and stakeholders.
  • Provide on-call support and manage emergencies effectively.

Work Hours:

  • Ability to work shifts including weekends, bank holidays, sleep-ins, and/or waking nights.
  • Standard working hours may vary, with flexibility required to accommodate the needs of the service users.

Qualifications:

  • Level 3/4/5 Diploma or equivalent, or willingness to undergo training.
  • Previous leadership experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in leading teams, inspection procedures, and child protection.
  • Familiarity with working to the Ofsted CQC Fundamental Standards.
  • Experience in staff recruitment procedures.
  • Knowledge of emotional and behavioural difficulties and equal opportunities.
  • Clean driving license and access to a car.
  • Experience in supporting people with complex needs.
