Physicians Care is a nonprofit organization providing free healthcare services to uninsured adults in Cobb County, Georgia. We are seeking an ARRT Radiology / Limited License X-Ray Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team and support our mission of improving community health and reducing unnecessary ER visits. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine strong clinical skills with a deep commitment to compassionate service in a community clinic setting.

As an ARRT Radiology / Limited License X-Ray Technologist at Physicians Care, you will perform diagnostic imaging studies for adult patients in an outpatient clinic environment. You will be responsible for accurately positioning patients, operating digital radiography equipment, following provider orders, and producing high-quality images that support timely diagnosis and treatment. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and volunteers to ensure that each patient receives safe, respectful, and efficient care.

You will adhere to all radiation safety and infection control protocols, properly shield patients and yourself, and carefully document each study in the electronic medical record. Your role includes verifying patient identity and exam orders, explaining procedures in clear, reassuring language, and adjusting your approach to meet the needs of patients who may be anxious, in pain, or unfamiliar with medical procedures. You will help maintain the radiology area by cleaning equipment between patients, monitoring supplies, and reporting any equipment issues promptly.

Because Physicians Care serves uninsured and often underserved adults, you will interact with individuals from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. You will be expected to demonstrate compassion, patience, and professionalism in every encounter, upholding the clinic’s values of dignity, respect, and high-quality care for all. In addition to imaging duties, you may assist the care team with basic clinical tasks within your scope, such as obtaining vital signs, helping with rooming and patient flow, or supporting documentation to keep the clinic running smoothly.

This position is well suited for technologists who value teamwork and collaboration. You will communicate regularly with providers to clarify imaging needs, review prior studies when available, and ensure that exams are completed in a timely, organized manner. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to following protocols are essential. You will also be expected to maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, clinic policies, and all applicable state and federal regulations governing radiologic practice.

Physicians Care offers a supportive and mission-driven environment where staff and volunteers work together to improve the health of the community. Employees often describe their experience here as personally rewarding, with daily opportunities to see the difference their work makes in patients’ lives. By joining our team as an ARRT Radiology / Limited License X-Ray Technologist, you will gain valuable experience in nonprofit healthcare, contribute to a collaborative care model, and play a vital role in expanding access to diagnostic services for those who might otherwise go without needed care.
