Assembler role in a manufacturing environment at Fenner, focused on assembling and finishing belts/wire products to customer order specifications. You'll run through detailed quality checks (including bend tests), re-roll finished belts, package product, and support multiple workstations as needed. Reads manufacturing orders for important customer information and details.
Evaluates the quality of the starter piece.
Assembles wires into starter piece.
Monitors the following quality areas throughout the assembly process:
Twist, Bow, Curve, Ends, Belt Width, Tightness, Parallel, Skips, and Bend Test.
Performs the bend test at the beginning of each belt and every three hours.
Rerolls the belt upon completion.
Helps monitor quality of belt during reroll upon completion.
Uses pneumatic staple gun to make the proper size cardboard box.
Writes correct information on the box.
Bands the box and places in the designated area.
Bows belts (either positive or negative) as required.
Repairs edges using wire cutters and pliers.
Uses saw to cut cardboard poles.
Edge bending using bending dies.
Make splice clips.
Work at different workstations as production needs require.
