An Assembler is responsible for using components and parts to produce quality products. They will also read and interpret blueprints, positions parts, and examines connections for correct fit. They will also be able to perform repairs as needed and report errors in the assembly line. May perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints and standard work instructions (SWI's).
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.
• Use a variety of other powered hand tools, stapler, rivets gun(s), drills, etc.
• Inspect and test, parts and products, as necessary, during or after assembly to quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, maintain all equipment according to maintenance plans.
• Perform saw or mill operations.
• Assemble parts and sub-assemblies.
• Routine daily equipment maintenance.
• Prepare product for shipment.
• Ability to cross train in other areas and departments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education, Experience and Qualifications:
• High School Diploma/Equivalent
• 6 months of hands-on experience in a manufacturing facility, small part assembly preferred.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
• Reliable and dependable attendance.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written form with supervisors and co-workers
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Physical requirements include frequent reaching, gripping and carrying up to 50 lbs., plus frequent standing, stooping, bending, squatting, and walking.
• Working environment is an unheated and non air conditioned manufacturing/warehouse setting.
• Safety glasses with side shields are required in the manufacturing environment.

• Must handle multiple tasks and perform effectively in a fast paced, high stress work environment.
