Assembler role at TouchPoint, supporting manual hand-assembly and semi-automated assembly work centers in a manufacturing environment. You’ll run standard work instructions, basic setup/operator tasks, quality checks, and preventative maintenance to hit productivity and zero-defect targets. Responsible for assembling parts in a manual, hand-assembly environment, and also in a semi-automated assembly department. Perform basic setup and operator duties of work centers, including understanding Standard Work instructions, performing operator Preventative Maintenance on the equipment. Able run all yellow work centers (as defined by the Assembly skills matrix). May include some basic level one Assembler II work centers or level one in Dzus work centers.
Compensation
$17.00-$19.00 plus 10% shift differentialWhat you will be doing
- Able to accurately produce parts by operating all manual work benches and all semi-automated assembly machines to achieve a minimum productivity rate of 80%.
- Perform set up activities, if trained and as required, on all manual work benches and semi-automated assembly machines.
- Perform quality checks, audits and inspections to ensure products are defect free. Follow established process and procedures to achieve zero quality defects.
- Enter data into the business software as required to complete the assembly job. As required, use the core system to perform quality checks, confirmations, order materials and submit a maintenance request.
- Follow standard work procedures before, during and at the end of the shift as defined by the department guidelines. (5S)
About you
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Able to learn the business operating systems. Able to learn to use measuring instruments.
- Good manual dexterity, able to sit or stand for 8-hour shift.
- Able to lift/push/pull up to 33 lbs.
