For over 30 years, New Season Treatment Centers has been a leading national health care service provider of outpatient treatment centers that specialize in providing safe, quality, and best-in-class care for individuals living with Opioid Use Disorder ("OUD").

The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) will provide direct peer-to-peer support services to individuals who have substance abuse or co-occurring disorders. As an advocate for patients, the Certified Peer Recovery Specialist will be responsible for providing essential expertise and consultation to the entire multidisciplinary treatment team to promote a culture in which each individual's treatment needs and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into treatment, rehabilitation, and community self-help activities. The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist will draw from his/her journey of recovery to inspire hope and provide support to others who are facing similar situations.

Essential Functions:

Assists patients in developing problem-solving skills to respond to challenging experiences in their recovery Models effective coping and self-help strategies and techniques to individuals or groups of patients to overcome personal fears, anxieties, urges, and triggers Assists/supports patients in daily decision making, resolution of minor problems, and crisis intervention as necessary Assists patients in identifying their personal goals and objectives for recovery and sobriety Assists clinic staff in a collaborative process of identifying programs and environments that are conducive to recovery Assists patients in creating their personal recovery plans Meets with patients to provide advice and support in accordance with treatment plans Assists/coordinates patient support groups on a regular basis Assists patients in obtaining and utilizing clinic-based and community-based services that support individual recovery needs Assists patients by identifying community resources and encouraging participation, to engage in healthy social activities, employment opportunities or provide other assistance as needed Observes behaviors and evidence of general well-being and discusses observations with the patient Assists patients in developing empowerment skills through self-advocacy Ensures timely and appropriate documentation as required by company, state, and federal policy

Education/Licensure/Certification: Have a High School diploma or equivalent with the state-required Peer Recovery certification. Hold a Certified Peer Specialist - Addictive Disease (CPS-AD) certification in the state of Georgia.
