Department: 02281 AMG Fond du Lac - Chiropractic Status: Part time Benefits Eligible: No Hours Per Week: 0 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Per diem/as needed. Includes a shift every other Friday, 7am - 3pm. Additional shift opportunities available for PTO and call in coverage between, Monday - Thursday, 8am - 6pm. Pay Range $21.85 - $32.80 Major Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Chiropractor, assists with all aspects of patient care using appropriate techniques and procedures in therapy treatments. Takes patient's vital signs. Observes and reports patient signs and symptoms. Performs proper medical record documentation and data entry. Assists the patient as needed in disrobing into a gown, redressing, and getting on and off exam table. Performs treatment therapies such as hydrocollator packs, cryo (ice) therapy, ultrasound and electric stimulation as directed. Assists with therapeutic exercise of patients (i.e., reviewing and/or demonstrating prescribed exercises to patient). Orders and dispenses clean linen, gowns, and supplies etc. Assists with ordering and stocking of supplies. Cleans and maintains the therapeutic treatment area, treatment tables, rooms and related equipment after use. May perform other clerical tasks, such as answer telephones, assist with billing processes, etc. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Chiropractic Technician license issued by the state of Wisconsin, and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required. Education Required: Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Chiropractic Technology. Experience Required: No experience required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Proficient computer skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must be able to: lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist. lift up to 20 lbs over the head. carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance. Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs of force. perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs with a second person present. May be exposed to electrical and chemical hazards as well as blood and body fluids; therefore, must wear personal protective clothing and equipment (i.e., masks, latex gloves, etc.) as necessary.
