Description:
You will be the CNC Control Tech for the Advanced Manufacturing Team. Our team is responsible for ultra‑precision machining, additive manufacturing, and the development of complex optics and sophisticated electronic systems for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.

What You Will Be Doing

As the CNC Control Tech you will diagnose, repair, and optimize high‑performance CNC and electromechanical control systems that keep our advanced manufacturing equipment running.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshooting and repairing CNC control hardware and associated electromechanical components.

  • Reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and machine manuals to understand system design and operating requirements.

  • Designing and conducting functional tests to isolate faults and verify tight tolerances.

  • Making critical adjustments to align and tune sensitive circuits and mechanisms.

  • Installing new equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and documenting all work performed.

Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Ability to maintain and repair a variety of precision CNC multipurpose electronic control systems for industrial equipment.
• Must be able to read schematics, wiring diagrams,
performance specifications, and machine operating manuals to become familiar with the design and operating requirements of multi-purpose electronic and or electro-mechanical control systems.
• Able to troubleshoot and determine cause, then make necessary repairs as required.
• Must have the ability to work 1st or 2nd shifts in accordance to the collective bargaining agreement.
• Due to facility requirements, all candidates must be U.S. Citizens to be considered
Desired Skills:
• 5 years of related experience. 2 year Technical degree or equivalent in related discipline.
• Prior experience with machine repair such as: determining causes of malfunctions, replacing faulty parts, installing electronic and/or electro-mechanical equipment, testing control circuits and components, setting up a variety of highly sensitive, precision electronic test tools and equipment,
modifying and updating existing electronic and/or electromechanical control systems or combination of systems to include new functions and latest designs, repairing multi-axis machines.
• Experience with Mazak mills and lathes, Mitsui Seiki mills, Hass milling machines.
• Experience with Tecport coating chamber, Hoffman polisher, computer controls such as Mitsubishi, Fanuc.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
