Job Summary
Perform other duties as required
This position requires the ability to set-up, operate or tend to hard turn grinding and related tools for the Mazak CNC Hard Turn operation.
Essential Functions
- Operate and tend to Mazak CNC machine.
- Load, unload, make simple offsets, and change wheel packs.
- Troubleshoot programs, create, and dress wheel packs.
- Set up machine per the setup sheet or customer print.
- Verify machine setup by inspecting and verifying product characteristic are within tolerance per the part print specifications. This is done on the 1st piece and throughout the process run using the appropriate measuring device suitable for the required tolerance.
- Clean parts and move them to the next operation.
- Perform weekly or monthly machine maintenance.
- Maintain tools.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Assist and train, as needed.

Education/Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to use hand tools.
Physical Requirements
- Visual acuity for detailed work.
- Must be able to lift and maneuver 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

- Must submit to and pass background and substance abuse tests.
- Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Must follow designated safety rules and regulations.
