SEPCO is hiring experienced CNC Machinists for our facilities in Alabaster, Alabama and Rockdale, Texas . CNC Machinist Responsibilities
SEPCO CNC Machinists are responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. This role involves interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, machining specifications, and precision measurements to manufacture components accurately and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- CNC machine setup and operation
- Programming at the machine controls
- Reading blueprints and engineering drawings
- Precision measuring using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Adjusting tooling, feeds, and speeds
- Monitoring machine performance and troubleshooting issues
- Maintaining coolant systems and machining equipment
- Performing some manual machining operations when required
Candidates should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
CNC Machinist Qualifications
Qualified applicants should have experience working with CNC machinery and strong mechanical aptitude. Programming experience is required.
Preferred qualifications include:
- 2+ years of CNC machining experience
- CNC setup and programming experience
- Ability to read fractional and decimal dimensions
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments
- Strong math and problem-solving skills
- Experience with manual machining equipment
- Technical school or apprenticeship experience
- CNC Machinist certification preferred
