The Quality and Mission Assurance organization has an opportunity for a talented professional to join our team onsite in a critical supplier engineering role within who will be involved in all aspects of planning and executing the production of our wide range of weapon systems, from tactical missiles to strategic defense products. You will provide technical knowledge & process capability expertise to improve supplier performance. You will be involved in all phases of product life cycles, beginning with proposal development, new product development, advanced manufacturing initiatives and continuing through production implementation. You will ensure technical data packages are complete and accurate and that the supplier technical performance meets the objectives of quality, cost and schedule. You will drive Raytheon design requirements to improve manufacturing and quality capabilities of suppliers. You will initiate continuous and measurable design and process improvement of supplier hardware for affordability. This position is a Commodity Supplier Assurance Engineer and is remote. Visits to supplier facilities will be required and will require a home office be maintained. Candidates are expected to travel domestically up to 25-30% of the time, to include driving up to 300-mile radius with some flying as needed. Relocation assistance is not provided. What You Will Do: Communicate and translate the technical data package to suppliers Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity and risk Perform technical evaluations in support of cost and price analysis Manage supplier requests for product and process changes Manage product non-conformances; Drive root cause and corrective action Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities Communicate the technical health of our suppliers to stakeholders Support travel as needed Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience Relevant experience is work in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, system engineering, manufacturing & quality systems, technical supplier management The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
