SUMMARY OF JOB:

The Benefits and Compensation Specialist will assist with the administration of the Health System's Compensation programs and support the execution of system wide benefit strategies. The Compensation Analyst will research job requirements and evaluate job positions to ensure Redeemer Health is equitable and competitive in the areas of salaries and employee benefits. Will respond to inquiries regarding compensation requests, employee benefits, policies and procedures. Provides advice to employees, supervisors and directors regarding compensation and benefit related matters. Prepares compensation information for Payroll and HR Team. Participates in market pricing and the survey process. Maintains related files and reports. Responds to requests for confidential information and answers questions about compensation policy and procedures.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Human Resources or actively pursuing
  • Two (2) years' experience in Human Resources with exposure to compensation and benefits administration
  • Two (2) years' experience in Total Compensation (Salary and Benefits) Administration
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Extensive proficiency in Excel
  • Extensive knowledge of human resource laws, regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Attention to detail in preparing written materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to interact effectively with managers, staff, applicants, and outside agencies.
