The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is seeking a full time Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated physician interested in working with an urban, ethnically diverse, underserved population in a dynamic and supportive academic setting. The Department of Pediatrics and its division of Ambulatory Pediatrics is one of the busiest in the system with more than 10,000 individual patients served per year and also serves as a referral center for developmental pediatrics within our community network of pediatricians. The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey and Long Island.

The successful candidate will contribute to clinical care and teaching of developmental behavioral pediatrics in child and adolescent populations across several areas of

programmatic/clinical need, including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, emotional disorders, and intellectual disability, among others. Clinical care and teaching will be provided in the outpatient setting and will incorporate varied diverse patient populations, including underserved, lower socio-economic and immigrant families. Teaching will entail clinical supervision and mentorship of medical students and residents as well as providing didactic teaching and guest lectures. The ideal candidate has a strong educational background and an interest in professional development and ongoing medical education. The position will also provide opportunities for research, curriculum development and QI and growth in clinical research skills.

We offer faculty appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications. The candidate needs to be a BE/BC pediatrician with experience in inpatient pediatrics and/or a BE/BC pediatric hospitalist. Candidates must possess a valid New York State license and DEA. The range for this position is $180,000-$185,000 plus benefits and faculty practice distributions throughout the academic year.
