Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will play a vital part in keeping our kitchen running smoothly by maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary environment. You'll work closely with the kitchen team to ensure all equipment, dishes, and work areas are cleaned and ready for service. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their contribution to the team, works efficiently under pressure, and understands that a clean kitchen is the foundation of an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Wash, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans
Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish station and surrounding kitchen areas
Assist with general kitchen cleaning tasks, including sweeping and mopping floors
Remove and dispose of kitchen waste and maintain trash and recycling areas
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
Assist with opening and closing procedures, including breakdown and cleaning of kitchen equipment and stations
Qualifications
Previous experience in a dishwashing or kitchen support role preferred, but not required β we're happy to train the right person
Ability to maintain efficiency and a positive attitude in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Knowledge of or willingness to learn food safety, sanitation standards, and kitchen hygiene practices
Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail
Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills and a positive attitude
Ability to take direction from the head chef or kitchen leads
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during special events
