The Transport Dispatcher duties and responsibilities include overseeing the safety of our employees and drivers, the maintaining of our equipment, the satisfaction of our customers, and the integrity of our company policies.
Main Responsibilities

Responsible for Tank Readings and Bobtail, Flatbed (Lube), and Transport Dispatch Daily.
Responsible for scheduling all Yard Truck maintenance.
Responsible for approval of invoices and submission to Asst. Operations Manager.
After hour and on call duties as scheduled.
Responsible for updating office binders and Truck binders with all current information: Insurance, Carb Certs, Hazmat Certs, etc.
Monitor driver logs and recommends for discipline of drivers for violations or safety concerns and provide feedback to drivers.
Ensure that dispatch orders are the in system for that day, and that all information is accurate.
Ensure that all other orders in the system for delivery are based on geography, truck size and customer need.
Ensure drivers leave the yard with appropriate equipment that may be needed at customer locations.
Maintain driver software for logs/compliance: Transport/Bobtail/Flatbed Drivers
Maintain driver software in all Yard Trucks.
Schedule Cargo Tank Certifications Transport/Bobtail.
Schedule Driver loading classes.
Perform New Hire Safety training and Road Tests.
Schedule Pre-Employment Drug Screen and DOT Physical.
(SPCC) Spill Prevention, Control, Countermeasure Plan training.
Conduct safety rides annually and after any incidents.
Skills and Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
High School Diploma is required, Associate degree from an U.S. accredited Community College is preferred but not required.
Must have skills in accuracy and attention to detail, including timely follow-up in expediting exceptions.
Effectively and efficiently supervise others.
Computer literate preferably in Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
Superior data entry skills are a must, and experience.
Must be able to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
Effective interpersonal and communications skills.
Great Customer Service skills.
