Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safety - conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. Safety is # 1.
- Maintain the pace of production in their area of responsibility. Being aware of job deadlines.
- Ensure that the Shop Manager / Assembly Lead is fully informed of the progress of all work under Technician's direction. Immediately notifying Shop Manager / Assembly Lead of any job delays or potential issues.
- Provide on-the job training and guidance (Company policies, job procedures, safety and good work practices, etc.).
- Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area.
- Work shifts and overtime, as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ensure that all work is properly performed.
- Proficient using Cat SIS.
- Ability to follow company instructions and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
- Two (2) years' experience in engine assembly or other related disciplines or education required.
- Meet the skills / knowledge / ability requirements for an Assembly Tech.
- Thorough knowledge of and demonstrated compliance with company policy, procedure and performance expectations required.
- Strong organizational skills as evidenced by satisfactory job performance and/or current and previous work experiences required.
- Ability to lift up to 50# is required.
