FCRM Specialist – Quantitative Models supporting Bank of Hope’s Financial Crime Risk Management team by owning, documenting, tuning, and governing AML/sanctions models and tools. You’ll be the key liaison to Model Risk Management, coordinating validations and ensuring models meet governance and regulatory expectations. Act as Model Owner for all FCRM models and non-model tools Lead the documentation, deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of models
and optimization programs for the FCRM Department * Document appropriately and ensure models are compliant with Bank of Hope’s Model Risk Management (“MRM”) Model Governance Policies regarding Change Management, Model Performance and Operational Controls * Create and maintain Model Owner documentation as required and in accordance with Bank of Hope MRM’s guidelines * Coordinate with MRM on model validation engagements, including planning model validation and provisioning of request items * Work with model users to ensure adequate testing and documentation of performance monitoring * Lead and assist in tuning (i.e., above-the-line and below-the-line) of FCRM systems as applicable, including BSA transaction monitoring systems, OFAC filtering systems, and other model and non-model related tools * Lead and participation in ongoing governance of FCRM models and tools, including preparing analysis and presentation to the AMBRS Oversight Group * Build and maintain positive relations within Risk, FCRM, Business Line teams, and model users * Assist in developing and delivering specialized training for selected model users * Provide quantitative data analytics support on special investigative projects, as required * Conduct special projects for Data and Technology – Unit Manager or designee, as required
Job Qualifications/Requirements
Education/Credentials
* Bachelor's degree in in quantitative fields, such as economics, mathematics, statistics, and computer science/engineering or other relevant discipline.
Prior Experience
* Required: Minimum of 10 years in relevant work experience in the following areas: * Model risk management in relevant capacity, including first line model owner, second line model risk management, and third line internal audit. * Leading the development, implementation, and ongoing operations of BSA/AML/Sanctions tuning and optimization program. * Experience with statistical modeling/data mining (decision tree, logistic regression, cluster analysis, etc.). A plus related to BSA/OFAC and fraud in the banking industry.
Technical Skills

The salary range for this full-time position is $160,000.00- $175,000.00 + bonus + benefits
