Lakeland Regional Health is seeking Generalist OB/GYN Physicians to join our growing hospital-employed women's health practice.

This opportunity offers obstetric and gynecologic practice in a collaborative, community-based environment supported by a dedicated OB/GYN Hospitalist team, eliminating night call and supporting excellent work-life balance.


The Opportunity

Physicians practice within a stable employment model characterized by strong administrative partnership, collegiality, and flexibility to shape their clinical practice.

Generalist OB/GYNs:

  • Provide obstetric and gynecologic patient care

  • Practice in a team-based model with real-time partner support

  • Contribute to a positive, patient-centered, community-based training environment

  • Participate in the supervision and clinical teaching of residents and medical students during routine inpatient, outpatient, Labor & Delivery, and operative care

  • Co-management of complex surgical and obstetric cases

  • Shared Day-Time In-Hospital Call Rotation (NO NIGHT CALL)

Clinical Scope & Subspecialty Support

All major women's health subspecialties are readily available, including:

  • Maternal-Fetal Medicine

  • Gynecologic Oncology

  • Urogynecology

  • Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (regional partners)

This integrated system supports seamless referrals and comprehensive, patient-centered care.


Women's Pavilion & Comprehensive Hospital Resources

In Hospital care is delivered in the Carol Jenkins Barnett Pavilion for Women and Children, an eight-story, state-of-the-art facility designed for compassionate, family-centered care, featuring:

  • Comprehensive women's and children's services

  • Dedicated OB Emergency Department

  • Dedicated Children's Emergency Department

  • Level III NICU. 24/7 Neonatologist and NICU team support

  • 24/7 OB-dedicated anesthesia

  • Dedicated Women's OR suites with specialized surgical teams

  • Da Vinci Xi robotic systems (robotics available but not required)

  • Modern, elegant, patient-centered spaces

This role is well suited for OB/GYNs who:

  • Are board certified/board eligible through ABMS or AOA and have current Florida medical license or ability to obtain one

  • Prefer a primarily clinical OB/GYN practice

  • Enjoy working with residents and medical students as part of daily clinical care OB/GYN Residency Program to launch in Summer 2027
