Full-time (seasonal) Greenskeeper role maintaining and improving the playing surfaces and landscaping at Columbus Park Golf Course in Chicago. You’ll handle mowing, irrigation, turf/soil prep, and general course upkeep within Troon, a global golf and hospitality management company. Role Type: Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)
Pay Range: $18-21 per hour
Responsibilities
* Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility * Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees, and other areas * Waters tees, greens, and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water * Repairs the irrigation system, pipes, and irrigation heads as necessary * Grades and prepares soil base; lays sod and seeds greens, tees, and fairways * Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds * Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course * Performs related duties as assigned by the supervisor or managerQualifications, Knowledge, and Skill: * Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills * Must be highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented * Must possess the ability to design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course * Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance * Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation * Must be dependable
