Heavy Duty Mechanic role maintaining and repairing diesel-powered cranes and related heavy equipment in a day-shift, onsite workshop. Qualifications
- Basic tools required
- Education or background in diesel mechanics or heavy industrial repair
- Knowledge of canbus and hydraulic systems preferred but not required
- Class A CDL or ability to attain one in 6 months
- Crane experience not required but is Highly Advantageous
Essential Duties of this Opportunity:
- Responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, booms, electrical systems (including troubleshooting onboard computer systems), hydraulic systems (booms, outriggers, pumps), brakes and other basic components
- Will work on hydraulic and conventional cranes, forklifts, tractor trailers and miscellaneous equipment
- Must work well and communicate effectively with operators and other mechanics
- Must also be able to work alone or with limited assistance
- Creative thinking skills to make continuous improvements
- Reports to Service Manager
- Standard Hours: Day shift 7am to 3:30pm.
