Technica LLC seeks to hire a Heavy Equipment Mechanic on a Government contract supporting the White Sands Test Center (WSTC) mission at WSMR, NM.

Position Summary:
- Performs field and sustainment-level maintenance in support of the WSTC mission across the WSMR Area of Responsibility (AOR).
- Conducts scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Non-Standard Equipment (NSE), tactical wheel vehicles, heavy equipment, and material handling equipment (MHE).
- Executes recovery operations and supports mission readiness in both garrison and remote field/range environments.
- Operates in accordance with the Materiel Maintenance Division (MMD)
- Utilizes GCSS-Army and DA maintenance forms to document work and maintain accountability.
- Ensures all equipment is operationally ready to support Test Center and customer mission requirements.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism across all tasks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of related maintenance experience.
- Working knowledge of military or commercial heavy equipment systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior military experience (MOS 63/91 series).
- Defense contracting experience in maintenance operations.
Requirements
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain access to a federal/military installation.
- Must pass background screening and drug testing requirements.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or otherwise authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to work in field and industrial environments, including extreme weather conditions (heat, wind, rain, snow, and blowing sand).
- Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods, including a minimum of two continuous hours.
- Must be capable of climbing equipment and working at heights up to 10 feet.
- Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must always wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing duties.
- Must be available to work extended hours, weekends, or alternate shifts as mission requirements dictate.
