Centra Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP) to join our Hematology Oncology team as an APP Hospitalist at Lynchburg General Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a highly skilled group of oncologists and advanced practice providers in a supportive, team-based environment.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

About the Role

In this position, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality inpatient oncology care while helping shape an evolving care model focused on improved outcomes and patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Admit and discharge patients

  • Perform inpatient consults and daily rounding

  • Manage select chronic conditions

  • Conduct new hematology consults in collaboration with physicians

  • Contribute to the development of innovative oncology care delivery models

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with MSN

  • Licensed (or eligible) as a Nurse Practitioner in Virginia with prescriptive authority

  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
