An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our client based in Greater Manchester. The position is Monday to Friday with weekend work as required. Basic hours are 50 hours per week, which equates to a salary of £44,200 - £52,000 depending on experience.

As the HGV Mechanic, your responsibilities will be;

To repair company vehicles & trailers in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current regulations Contributing to good housekeeping routines to meet Health & Safety requirements Ensuring that all jobs are completed correctly and deadlines are met. Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly. Use all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary. To communicate effectively with the Transport Manager Flexibility for shift patterns As the HGV Mechanic, you will have the following skills and experience;

Knowledge of all mandatory VOSA Inspections and MOT Preparations Class 2 / 1 licence preferred. Proficient with fault diagnosis and repair, stripping, fitting and replacing components. Scania and Volvo experience preferred. Good interpersonal and communication skills Basic level of numeracy and literacy, in order to complete work documentation. Should be self-motivated with the ability to take own initiative. Due to the nature of the role and insurance purposes, you must be over the age of 21 years
