As a Security Officer, you help keep our resort safe, secure, and welcoming. This role blends security responsibilities with hospitality focused service, ensuring our guests, team members, and property are protected while creating a friendly and supportive environment. You maintain a visible presence, manage access points, respond to police, fire, or medical situations, and complete safety inspections and incident reports. By working closely with public safety partners and resort leadership, you help ensure everyone feels safe and cared for. What You’ll Do as a Security Officer:Serve as the first responder to police, fire, and medical incidents within the scope of Security Officer duties.Maintain a visible, uniformed security presence across assigned resort areas.Monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras and fire alarm panels, in compliance with legal and company requirements.Conduct routine safety and security inspections following established procedures.Maintain accurate security records, logs, and checklists.Prepare clear, timely, and detailed incident reports using computer systems and email.Assist guests and team members with security related concerns and service requestsManage lost and found inventory, key control, and accountability.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.What You Will Bring as a Security Officer:High school diploma or general education degree (GED).Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related field is preferred (minimum of 1 year), but not required.Proficiency with basic computer systems used to complete reports, logs, and email communication.Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.Required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United StatesRequires physical stamina and the ability to work indoors and outdoors, remain on your feet for extended periods, climb stairs, and move quickly for short distances as neededAdditional Information Why Westgate?
