HR Assistant
to support the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant payroll and HR operations while providing responsive customer service to employees across the organization. This role performs administrative and coordination activities related to payroll processing, onboarding and offboarding, and HR systems maintenance. As a member of the People team, the Payroll/HR Assistant contributes to the company’s commitment to operational excellence and a positive employee experience in support of the company’s “Best People, Best Work” philosophy. As a HR Assistant, you’ll be responsible for: Set up new hires and terminate separated employees in all HR systems and platforms. Report new hire to DSHS multistate system. Adjust the status of recently separated employees in HRIS and payroll systems. Collaborate with Field Ops team on HR vehicle management tasks: Provide related policy signoffs, and filing accident reports Maintain employee records in HRIS system(s). Other Administrative: Set up mail merges and coordinate companywide HR employee communications Administer HR texting platform TRAVEL:
Occasional travel to regional offices and sites for events, training and team meetings is required. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
To be successful as a Dowbuilt Payroll/HR Assistant you’ll need: ~1-2 years of accounting and/or data entry experience required ~ Experience with payroll, HRIS and benefit admin systems (ADP Workforce Now, BambooHR, Employee Navigator preferred) ~ Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. ~ Demonstrate and support a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion ~ Proficiency with MS Office Suite required ~ Experience with web-based solutions such as Smartsheet, Egnyte, Slack preferred ~ Effective in building understanding and creating trust among employees and managers at every level of the business ~ Demonstrate discretion and treat all employee and proprietary company information as strictly confidential ~ Operate with a high level of integrity and emotional intelligence ~ 100% paid medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance for full-time employees (35% Medical coverage and 30% Dental + Vision for dependents), first of the month following DOH ~401(k) retirement savings plan with employer profit sharing contribution ~ Company-paid short-term disability policy for all full-time employees ~8 paid holidays each year, no waiting period ~ Paid Time-Off (PTO) Hourly/Non-Exempt employees earn 1 hour of PTO per 30 hours worked. ~ Education reimbursement ~ Dog-friendly offices and casual dress environment ~ Discretionary bonus
The base pay range for this position is $29.00-$35.00 per hour. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. New hires typically start below the midpoint of the range, with the opportunity for growth and advancement over time.
