Gibson Dunn is hiring a Knowledge Attorney to support its Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity practice by building and scaling AI-enabled knowledge tools, workflows, and drafting resources. You’ll sit within the Knowledge Management & AI Group, partnering with lawyers and technologists to prototype, implement, and train teams on practical solutions that improve efficiency and consistency. Qualifications
Demonstrated passion for AI and emerging technology, including a strong perspective on how such tools can be applied to M&A and Private Equity legal practice and workflows. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, technologists, and administrative professionals. Strong initiative and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to exercise independent judgment in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Creative and strategic thinker who is open to experimentation, iteration, and multiple approaches to complex problems. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines concurrently. Commitment to knowledge-sharing, efficiency, and excellence in legal work, with a focus on client service and business impact. Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across practice groups and departments.Experience
A J.D., Bachelor of Laws, or equivalent with strong academic credentials; must be admitted to practice and in good standing in the state where they will be based. Minimum of 4 years of experience in M&A and/or Private Equity; other transactional backgrounds will be considered on a case by case basis. Demonstrated ability to apply legal training to new contexts, including workflow design, tool development, or process improvement efforts; personal or professional coding or tech-related building experience is very highly valued. Compensation & Benefits: The annual compensation range for this position is $250-290k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
