About this role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant to join the Payments Change Delivery team. This position will act as the Payments Operations Lead of the Payments Transformation Value-Added Services (VAS) workstream, ensuring timely delivery of requirements, execution, and overall operational readiness aligned to the launch of VAS products and services. The Value‑Added Services portfolio focuses on identifying, enabling, and scaling differentiated services that leverage modernized payments platforms to drive client value, revenue growth, and operational efficiency. The Value‑Added Services Operations Lead partners horizontally across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, and Transformation teams to drive execution of the strategic roadmap. In this role, you will: Partner with Operations, Product and delivery teams to prioritize execution and delivery of Value‑Added Services initiatives, aligned to strategic priorities and outcomes. Lead discovery and implementation of target-state operating models for VAS products and services Drive operational requirements and comprehensive impact assessments for VAS products/initiatives Partner with Payments Operations and Capability Leads to ensure operational readiness for the rollout of VAS products and services Lead cross‑functional discovery and refinement efforts, partnering with Product, Technology, and Operations teams to identify service opportunities, dependencies, and target‑state designs. Communicate complex business and execution requirements clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including senior leadership. Oversee product delivery outcomes, ensuring services progress from concept through delivery in alignment with defined strategy and intended business results. Partner with cross‑functional teams to resolve strategic dependencies, trade‑offs, and alignment issues impacting product outcomes. Identify execution risks, gaps, and constraints, and proactively drive resolution, escalation, or trade-off decisions. Provide clear, concise executive reporting on strategy, progress, risks, and value realization. Location: Charlotte, NC or Minneapolis, MN This position does not offer relocation assistance. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education. Desired Qualifications: Experience executing payments transformation initiatives within large, complex organizations. Strong understanding of payments platforms, messaging flows, and end‑to‑end payment lifecycles. Experience working in Production Operations teams or leading initiatives to optimize target-state operating models Proven ability to manage priorities and dependencies across multiple teams or workstreams. Experience leading large‑scale transformation or migration programs. Familiarity with payment rails and messaging platforms such as FedWire, ACH, FedNow, CHIPS, SWIFT, MT‑to‑MX, and ISO 20022. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including PowerPoint development and executive‑ready storytelling. Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail. Ability to synthesize complex inputs from diverse stakeholders into clear actions and recommendations. Customer‑centric, outcome‑focused mindset with the ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and meet delivery commitments. Job Expectations: This is an in-office position currently requiring at least three in-office days per week at one of the locations listed below. Position is not eligible for VISA sponsorship. Pay Range Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location.
