The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating equipment in the one or more value streams of the Florist operations. This position is responsible for the production of valuable, defect-free products that meet or exceed our customers' expectations. The machine operator will be successful in this position by executing to standard work and adhering to all company policies.
- Weighing and mixing raw materials following batch instructions.
- Work with hazardous materials utilizing engineering controls and PPE.
- Willingness and ability to learn and contribute to Lean/5S/Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Perform production equipment set up, clean up, safe operation, & operator level maintenance of assigned equipment .
- Identify & maintain quality standards while meeting daily & weekly production goals.
- Understand & follow established standard work documents.
- Perform adjustments to production equipment as necessary.
- Communicate production performance to appropriate leaders & departments.
- Support area goals for continuous improvement by serving on project teams as required.
- Adhere to Brady's attendance, safety, & other company policies.
- Maintain general housekeeping & clean production areas at end of every shift.
- Provide support within other production areas as needed & other duties as assigned.
