Position Overview

As a Machine Operator, the incumbent should possess the skills, ability, knowledge and willingness to learn any task within the value stream requested by management with limited supervision, oversight or guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate and abide by Lucas Milhaupt safety program and policies, including active participation in using Zero Communication Platform.
  • Actively participate and engage in Department and Company Lean activities driving business improvement ideas, quality enhancements, productivity improvements, safety updates or other areas of Lean including 5S, Kaizen events, etc.
  • Understand how to setup and operate assigned equipment and be able to communicate Important Steps, Key Points, and Why provided by training.
  • Comprehend and execute assigned processes within the department.
  • Ability to perform quality checks as needed.
  • Ability to read technical prints/specifications and produce to these specifications.
  • Responsible for the inspection and maintenance of equipment and tooling required to produce products and parts per specifications. Take responsibility to notify Maintenance / Engineering and complete documentation as required.
  • Weigh out and account for scrap generated throughout the production process.
  • Check job specifications to perform the required pack out or packaging to ensure appropriate methods and procedures have been performed and necessary quality requirements have been met.
  • All other tasks as assigned by his/her Supervisor.

Requirements


  • Capable of executing work according to trained processes and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers and supervisor.
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and requirements.
  • Experience using calibrated measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and scales preferred.

Education:

  • Position requires a High School education/GED with some experience in a manufacturing environment.

This position is based on site at our facilities in Cudahy, Wisconsin. It is a manufacturing company, and the Pricing Analyst will work with a diverse population in both office and production settings. The position may require the use of personal protective equipment (eye protection, hearing protection and steel toe shoes provided by the company).
