Job Description:

Holtec International seeks qualified applicants for the position of CNC Machine Operator at its manufacturing and production facilities in Camden, NJ. The CNC Machine Operator must have experience operating CNC Mills and lathes (able to set-up and make adjustments to machine) Experience doing in-process inspection of parts. The ideal candidate will be focused and detail- oriented. Must be able to follow all work instructions and procedures under quality management system. Most important will be a positive demeanor and team-player mentality.

Specific Areas of Responsibility:

  • Set-up CNC Mill & Lathe machines and produce good parts when given programs, fixtures and a tool list.
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
  • Understand blueprints.
  • Ability to use basic shop tools, caliper, micrometer, bore gauges.
  • Inspect parts under close tolerances and surface finishes. Use correct precision measuring instruments to verify part integrity.
  • Set and manage tools including knowledge of tool life and tool wear. This includes many specialized or advanced variation tools.
  • Ability to do simple math Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T) is a plus.
  • Understanding the different metals.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain the highest quality of standards for workmanship.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • 2 Year Technical Degree or completion of Relevant Apprenticeship program required.
  • Experience and on-the-job training may be used in lieu of formal apprenticeship program.
  • Experience with CNC machinery and programming required.
  • Experience with Fanuc and Siemens 840D and controls preferred.
  • At least 3-5 years' professional experience.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, and moving equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality awareness.
  • Dependability and strong work ethic.

Salary Range: $28.00 - $34.00 hourly based on experience.
