Zero-Max is currently recruiting for a Machinist 2 who will be responsible for the set-up and operation of one or more machine tools with the experience level to be proficient with little supervision
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Sets-up machine
- Operates machine
- Maintains current set-up sheets and program files
- Instructs less skilled operators
- Performs finishing work such as deburring, parts washing, etc.
- Maintains a clean and safe workplace
Requirements
Education/Qualifications
- Requires education generally equivalent to an associate degree in Machining with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience with general machine shop equipment; or a combination of relevant education and experience.
Required Skill
- Proficient using general measuring instruments and some speed and feed calculations
- Ability to efficiently and successfully perform basic machine setups
