Machinist - Arkema Calvert City, KY

Position Overview

The Machinist 1/C will perform mechanical maintenance duties in a chemical plant environment at Arkema's Calvert City, Kentucky site. This role requires hands-on industrial experience and technical skills gained through a minimum of five years working as a machinist, industrial mechanic, or equivalent craft. The Machinist 1/C supports safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations through expert maintenance of rotating and process equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Rotating Equipment: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, mixers, and mechanical systems.
  • Process Equipment: Remove, install, maintain, and rebuild process equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Tool Usage: Apply proper and safe use of all tools required to maintain equipment in an industrial chemical plant.
  • Maintenance Support: Work independently and collaboratively to support daily maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all Arkema and site-specific safety protocols, procedures, and work practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of practical experience in an industrial facility as a machinist, industrial mechanic, or equivalent craft.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing rotating equipment.
  • Experience with removal, installation, and maintenance of process equipment.
  • Strong understanding of proper and safe use of tools in a chemical plant environment.
