The full-time Entry-Level Machinist will learn to operate and set up precision CNC and manual machining equipment in a hands-on manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical or technical aptitudes who are eager to learn machining skills. Full training is provided. The role supports the production of high-quality, close-tolerance parts and tooling while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.

Various Shifts available. Must be available to work mandatory overtime.

Responsibilities

β€’ Learn to operate and set up CNC and manual machining equipment under supervision.
β€’ Assist in troubleshooting basic tooling and machining issues as skills develop.
β€’ Support the production of close-tolerance fixtures, tools, and gages.
β€’ Read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings (training provided).
β€’ Use precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to inspect parts (training provided).
β€’ Follow work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines.
β€’ Communicate production or equipment issues verbally or in writing to supervisors and team members, including cross-shift operators.
β€’ Maintain a clean and organized work area.
β€’ Perform basic routine machine maintenance as trained.
β€’ Assist with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing efforts as skills develop.
β€’ Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

β€’ Able to work all shifts
β€’ High school diploma or GED required.
β€’ No machining experience needed - full training provided.
β€’ Prior machining experience, technical school courses, mechanical hobbies, or similar experience are a plus.
β€’ Strong mechanical or technical aptitude; enjoys working with tools and equipment.
β€’ Must be able to work to very close tolerances.
β€’ Must be able to work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions.
β€’ Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions.
β€’ Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, measurements).
β€’ Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
β€’ Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
β€’ Capable of using all types of measuring equipment used in checking machined parts.
β€’ Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
β€’ Commitment to quality, safety, and maintaining an orderly workspace.
β€’ Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
β€’ Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
β€’ Ability to wear required PPE (safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes, etc.).
β€’ Ability to work all overtime as assigned.
