Responsibilities

Assist in operating manual and CNC machines.

Learn to read and interpret basic blueprints, work orders, and measurement tools.

Perform part loading and machine adjustments.

Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other basic measuring tools.

Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Support senior machinist and production staff as needed.

Participate in on-the-job training and skill-building activities.

Learn to review setup sheet and specifications to determine machining sequence and dimensions to finish work piece.

Attaches fixture to machining bed and positions and secure work piece in fixture according to setup instructions.

Select and change/install cutting tools.

Measure work piece for conformance to specifications.

Cleans machine, tooling, parts along with 6S principals.

Contribute to shop organization and process improvements

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.

Technical education or coursework in machining, machine tool technology, CNC operations or related trade, preferred.

Completion of vocational training, community college coursework, or relevant apprenticeship classes or CNC certifications a plus!

Entry level candidates with minimal experience but with strong vocational training or related technical coursework may be considered.

Mechanical aptitude and interest in machining or manufacturing.

Ability to follow instructions and learn new skills quickly.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Hourly rate: $22.36 - $29.00
