About the role
As a Commercial Lead: AP1000 Structural Category, you will manage a commercial team to create a strategy which develops short and long-term opportunities to improve total cost of ownership while meeting customer requirements on the AP1000 and APx projects. You will grow a commercial management team focused on material aggregation for large, fabricated structures including Modules, Shield Building and Containment Vessel and leading the sourcing efforts for internal shop procurements of raw materials and services.You will report to the Director of Commercial Management for AP1000 and can be located anywhere within the United States as this position is remote with travel opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
You will recruit, building, training and managing a team to create an overall AP1000 and APx commercial strategy to meet organizational goals by improving Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while securing supply continuity through identifying and mitigating current and potential risks and opportunities in the category strategy. Ensure the execution strategy through preferred supplier list (PSL), “right-sizing” non-preferred suppliers, and rewarding preferred partners with business awards tied to Long-term Agreements (LTA) with year over year improvements in cost, delivery, quality, service, and profitability. Lead a team to issue Purchase Orders and perform commercial administration of those agreements for long-term material Aggregation contracts to support on-time delivery to 3rd party fabricators to meet their committed deliveries of large structures to project sites. Lead a team to issue Purchase Orders and perform commercial administration of those agreements for long term raw material and services contracts to support shop fabrication at all internal fabrication facilities supporting on-time delivery to meet their committed deliveries of components to project sites. Review presentations for supplier relationship management meetings, category strategies, risk mitigation proposals, 4-Blockers, and supplier/category gap analysis.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree required (Preferably MBA or MS in any field of engineering) Minimum 7 years of procurement experience (preferably within industries with complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects, with a focus on procurement) Minimum 5 years of experience in negotiations including RFI, RFP, RFQ and contract development. Minimum 1 year of supervisor experience in procurement (Preferably 3 years of category management supervision)
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon qualifications, is estimated to be ($112,400 to $140,500) per year.
