Position Summary
Morgan & Morgan is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Paid Search Manager to join our in-house SEM team. In this role, you will serve as a key day-to-day steward of Paid Search across our national portfolio of legal practice areas, owning campaign strategy, activation, execution, and optimization. You will work closely with SEM specialists, cross-functional marketing partners, and executive leadership to deliver performance marketing results that directly support our mission of winning for the people.

Key Responsibilities
Campaign Strategy & Execution
Lead search campaign activation and innovation for assigned practice areas, applying deep platform mastery to deliver against defined performance KPIs
Own end-to-end Paid Search campaign development across Google and Microsoft Ads — inclusive of keywords, ad copy, audiences and bid strategies as well as campaign settings
Develop Quality Assurance checklists for team to follow and ensure QA processes are being adhered to prior to launches
Partner with Digital Director to develop quarterly optimization and testing roadmaps and own the execution of these roadmaps
Contribute to budget planning and projections, providing tactic-level allocation in collaboration with marketing leadership
Budget Management & Performance
Monitor pacing and ensure campaigns adhere to allocated budgets; monitor daily spend and adjust as needed based on CPA performance to maintain pacing accuracy
Oversee SEM automated bidding strategies and target adjustments, executing weekly optimizations to maximize account performance
Pull and synthesize performance data weekly to report on impact of recent optimizations and to provide recommendations to strengthen KPI performance
Account Governance & Compliance
Enforce account structures, naming conventions, negative keyword management, and compliance standards across all paid search accounts
Liaise with analytics, insights, legal compliance, and creative teams to ensure flawless campaign execution in a regulated industry
Troubleshoot campaign delivery issues — including broken tags, trafficking errors, and spend anomalies — escalate appropriately
Identify and implement process improvements, tooling enhancements, and automation opportunities to streamline delivery and reduce error rates
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Provide day-to-day direction, mentorship, and guidance to SEM specialists and biddable media colleagues to foster knowledge transfer and professional growth
Support the Digital Director in maintaining Paid Search standard of excellence across accounts and practice areas
Collaborate with Digital Director to establish and refine standardized workflows and processes for SEM
Communicate search strategy, performance insights, and recommendations clearly to senior marketing leadership and executive stakeholders
Contribute to internal points of view on industry trends, platform developments, and emerging paid media innovations
Required Qualifications
3–5+ years of hands-on Paid Search / SEM experience, with a strong foundation in performance marketing and lead generation
Proven proficiency with Google Ads and Microsoft Ads; Search Ads 360 and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) experience a plus
Demonstrated success managing and optimizing campaigns focused on lead volume, cost-per-action, and conversion efficiency (CPA)
Strong command of budget management, pacing, and bid strategy execution across multi-account environments
Experience with keyword research, audience segmentation, negative keyword management, and account structure governance
Solid analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights; proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data visualization)
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, work under tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders
Proven leadership ability with experience mentoring or delegating to junior team members
Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset with a demonstrated drive to continuously improve
Proven self-starter with an ownership mentality
Preferred Qualifications
Agency experience or background working as part of a dedicated SEM team of 2–3+ paid search specialists is strongly preferred
Experience working within or alongside a law firm, legal services company, or other highly regulated industry (finance, healthcare, insurance)
Familiar with trafficking tools, tagging workflows, and QA processes in complex multi-platform environments
Experience with SA360 (Search Ads 360) cross-engine campaign management
Familiarity with AI tools and integrating AI to streamline workflows
Certifications in Google Ads and/or Microsoft Ads
Familiar with Kenshoo/Skai, or comparable third-party SEM management platforms
Experience using reporting and analytics tools such as Supermetrics, Looker, Tableau or comparable BI and data visualization platforms
Comfort navigating and influencing cross-functional teams, including brand, analytics, product, and legal compliance
Experience working with Google & Microsoft reps to test new opportunities and keep up with the evolving Search landscape
Experience with Competitor Intelligence tools such as Adthena, GrowByData, The Search Monitor or Revvim
Basic understanding of Organic Search; experience in Total Search strategy, testing, and cross-functional collaboration a plus
Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Communications, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience
