Job Description


As a Manufacturing Engineer – Electrical Planner, you will be interpreting approved design data, drawings and instructions and translate these into detailed build instructions for use by approved operators.


The role offers an engaging mix of engineering planning, technical problem-solving, and direct shop floor and aircraft support, providing valuable exposure across manufacturing, engineering, and aircraft integration. It is an excellent platform for developing transferable skills and progressing into future opportunities across a range of aerospace programmes.


Core duties:



  • Translating design information in the form of CAD models, BOM, circuit drawings, material and manufacturing process specifications into repeatable processes as part of the Manufacturing Engineering process ensuring the original design intent is met

  • Structuring manufacturing build instructions using SAPCAMS planning tool or equivalent electronic planning aid

  • Supporting the production of aircraft build, including electrical looms, components, amalgamations, racks and panels, assemblies and installations


Essential Skills:



  • HNC, completed a Craft/Technician Apprenticeship, or experience in an Electrical Manufacturing role

  • Experience and knowledge of Electrical processes

  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, standards and processes

  • Experience with the use of Microsoft office suite


Electrical Manufacturing Engineering and Process Planning Team:


This is a unique opportunity to work on a multiple platform team, producing & supporting production engineering interpreting new design into work instructions. You’ll play a pivotal role throughout the project lifecycle, from reviewing and approving engineering data to supporting hands-on aircraft build, installation, and testing activities. Working as part of a highly skilled, cross-functional team, you’ll collaborate closely with Design Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to deliver critical programme objectives.
