Position Summary

The primary duties of this position will be the incoming inspection, disassembly, assembly, and painting of various products manufactured at Ohio Magnetics. The qualified individual should be capable of following schedules, communicating issues that arise and working in a time sensitive fashion in a highly changing product mix.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform all operations necessary to assemble, test and ship magnets, efficiently.
• Comply with all ISO 9001 assembly quality procedures.
• Read and interpret assembly routers and drawings.
• Fill out test forms (electronic and paper) to communicate the condition to the sales and

engineering team.
• Plasma arc cutting of magnets, as required.
• Perform at rates set by pre-determined time standards.
• Perform in a team environment.
• Follow all safety rules, use proper PPE, and report any safety concerns.
• Other duties and job functions, as required.

Experience and Education Required

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering specifications.
  • Ability to read various measuring equipment including meters, scales, and dial indicators.
  • Ability to use various hand tools, hydraulic presses, air wrenches, electric motors, air gauges, painting equipment, parts washer, cranes.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and overhead cranes.
  • Basic computer skills in MS Excel, MS word, and email.
  • Mechanic experience, desired.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 50 lbs. continuously and 100 lbs., occasionally.
  • Requires standing continuously and walking occasionally throughout the day for up to ten hours.
