The Department of Neurology is seeking a Neuroimmunologist to join our team at Tufts Medical Center. Position Overview: You will be responsible for expanding a comprehensive Neuro-Immunology Service at Tufts Medical Center, delivering the highest quality, multidisciplinary care for patients with multiple sclerosis and autoimmune neurological disorders (including neuroinfectious diseases with immune sequelae). Join us in our mission to provide exceptional, patient-centered care and support for individuals living with neuro-immunological diseases. Responsibilities will include conducting thorough evaluations, implementing and managing disease-modifying therapies, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to address patient needs with a focus on symptom management, rehabilitation, and lifestyle modifications, and engaging in ongoing research and clinical trials to advance neuro-immunological care. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong interest in clinical trials, neuro-infectious immunology, and autoimmune neuro-immunology, in addition to multiple sclerosis and related diseases. Department of Neurology Overview: Integrated Healthcare: Tufts Medical Center, with over 700 affiliated doctors, is part of the Tufts Medicine Health System. Tufts Medicine includes Lowell General Hospital, Lowell Saints Hospital, MelroseWakefield Hospital, Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford, Tufts Medicine Care at Home, Tufts Medicine Community Care, and Tufts Medicine Integrated Network. Team Driven: TMC Neurology is a dynamic and collegial team of clinicians across multiple Neurology subspecialties with both outpatient and inpatient services, academic and community practices, and a strong commitment to excellence in clinical care, research, and education. The department includes divisions in Cognitive Neurology, Critical Care Neurology, Movement Disorders, Neuroimmunology, Neuromuscular, and Vascular Neurology. Research Based: Neurology research has a proven impact on patient care and outcomes. The department participates in multiple NIH- and industry-sponsored research projects as well as investigator-initiated studies. Dedicated clinical research coordinators support IRB, trial, and registry operations. The incoming neuroimmunologist will be encouraged to lead and participate in clinical trials within neuroimmunology and related translational research programs. Education: Faculty are full-time academic staff members at Tufts University School of Medicine and are actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. The incoming neuroimmunologist will contribute to educational initiatives and mentorship.
