OBHG is hiring an in-house OB/GYN Hospitalist to provide 24-hour L&D coverage at Covenant Children's Hospital in Lubbock, a 275-bed facility with a Level III C NICU and maternal-fetal medicine services. You'll manage obstetric emergencies, triage, deliveries, and surgical care while partnering with community OBs. The Opportunity:
Covenant Children's Hospital is a 275-bed facility offering acute care and a surgical facility serving the west Texas community since 1992. It is home to a level III C NICU, a maternal-fetal medicine center, antepartum high-risk suites, and private labor, delivery, surgical birthing, recovery and mother-baby suites, as well as ongoing educational programs for new families. Our Ob Hospitalist are supported by a full time experienced Nurse Practitioner, onsite Maternal Fetal Medicine, in house Anesthesia and strong nursing staff.

A day in the life includes:
Caring for all pregnant women who present emergent, regardless of circumstance
Cultivating relationships with staff nurses and hospital personnel
Supporting private practice physicians by providing coverage and assistance
Caring for unassigned patients
Evaluating and treating triage patients
Providing consultation to the ED
Monitoring labor
Delivering babies
