Obesity Medicine

Monument Health in Rapid City is seeking a full-time BE/BC physician who is Obesity Medicine certified or has completed an Obesity Medicine fellowship and is slated to take the certification exam to join our established and growing comprehensive obesity medicine and bariatric surgery practice. This position emphasizes high-quality patient care, collegial collaboration, and a sustainable, satisfying practice environment.

Monument Health's Bariatric and Metabolic Institute in Rapid City is an MBSAQIP-accredited center with plans to pursue additional obesity medicine certification at the next accreditation review.

The physician will provide comprehensive obesity care, supporting patients in the program's medical and surgical pathways. The successful candidate will join a well-established multidisciplinary team that includes a board-certified obesity medicine physician, a fellowship-trained bariatric surgeon, and in-house bariatric psychiatrist. The program is supported by dedicated registered dietitians, advanced practice providers, and experienced clinic nursing staff.

Monument Health Rapid City Hospital (a 417-bed regional tertiary care, Level 2 Trauma Center) that covers a 5-state region.
