ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Case Management, surveillance and reporting on workplace injuries and illnesses, including reporting to government agencies, contact tracing, vaccine administration, pre-placement assessments and collaborating with frontline staff and leaders to enhance protections for staff and patients

Performs preplacement evaluations on new employees utilizing a high level of physical assessment skills. a - Accurately with appropriate documentation. b - Performed efficiently, within 1/2 hour.

Plays an essential role in p
roviding routine and emergency care to employees, recognizing urgent health situations and/or makes appropriate recommendations and/or health care referrals based on skilled assessment findings. a – Consults with Nurse Practitioner when necessary for employee evaluation. b - Orders appropriate diagnostic tests utilizing approved protocols. c- Follows the care of the employee throughout the period of injury. d- Works with finance to determine employee wages during period of disability.

HR Liaison to Recruitment a - Attend weekly meetings to determine trends and outcomes on contracted employees

Body Fluid Exposure Reporting a - Maintain OSHA sharps log for reporting monthly and yearly injuries.

JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education

Preferred Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing as validated through the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing Minimum Work Experience Previous Acute Care RN experience preferred Required Licenses / Certifications Registered Nurse – Board of Registration in Nursing (Massachusetts) Required additional Knowledge and Abilities Thorough understanding of healthcare and is data driven and colleague focused. Vaccination and TB screening experience required. CIC or COHN certification (preferred) EXCEL experience (preferred).
