Summary Responsible for tasks related to the cleaning, repair, upkeep, and safety of the facility, as well as the movement of goods in production. A primary focus of this role includes daily janitorial cleaning of the facility and seasonal lawn care/mowing. This position requires demanding physical work. No technical experience is required, but candidates should be familiar with the tools and responsibilities outlined below. Salary: $16.00 - $25.00 Hourly Job Functions Janitorial & Cleaning: Perform general facility cleaning, material disposal, restroom upkeep, and regular trash removal. Grounds keeping: Mow the lawn, trim edges, and maintain the outside appearance of the facility. Basic Repairs: Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. Facility Upkeep: Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools (such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches) for basic carpentry and landscaping. Painting: Paint where needed, both inside and outside the facility. Materials Handling: Assist with the movement and handling of production materials. Safety Compliance: Follow health and safety rules, policies, and procedures for the work area, ensuring that personal work activity does not affect the safety of oneself or others. Other Duties: All other duties as assigned by management. Skills Knowledge of basic hand/power tools and outdoor lawn equipment (mowers, trimmers). Must be able to take direction and report results back in a concise manner. The ability to understand direction and work independently with minimal supervision. Required Experience General maintenance, janitorial, or landscaping experience preferred (manufacturing environment is a plus). Physical Demands Lifting: Occasionally lifts or moves equipment and materials weighing up to 60 pounds. Agility: Must be able to ascend/descend and work atop ladders and equipment. Mobility: Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, and kneel for extended periods during physical labor.
